Larry Gold represents financial institutions and various entities engaged in mortgage origination. This includes regulatory compliance issues and business combinations. He is the former counsel and legislative chairman to the Illinois Association of Mortgage Professionals and a frequent speaker at mortgage lending events. He contributes articles on mortgage issues to the Northern Illinois Real Estate magazine.

He was born in 1946 in the Bronx, New York and grew up in White Plains, New York. He lives in Oak Park, Illinois with his wife Andrea and son Michael. Larry is also an active member of the Chicago Bar Association.
